Times readers fall after paywall
« on: November 02, 2010, 21:14 »
More than 100,000 people pay to go behind the Times and Sunday Times' new online paywalls but visits to their websites have fallen by about 87%.

I guess the true test will be, how many renew their initial subscriptions.

Who would want to pay to read THAT garbage - especially online.  At least the hard copy is useful for wrapping fish and chips or wiping your ar5e on when you've run out of loo roll.

Doesn't flush too easily, though.  So I'm told.  :)

We insisted on getting a high-level cistern to replace our old one when it finally cracked.  They're not easy to source!  We had to visit a manufacturer in the end, which fortunately for us is based only twenty minutes away.

Sadly, modern cisterns are not allowed to hold more than about two-thirds of the water of the old ones.  This is an EU measure to conserve water.  As a result, it now takes several flushes to get rid of traces whereas the old cisterns used to manage it with one flush.

Penny wise, pound foolish.

Is 'traces' the polite term for skid marks?  ;D

'Traces' is the polite word for what remains in the toilet when the first flush doesn't quite do the job  >:( .

That's what I meant!  Nothing worse than a floater, especially in someone elses house!  ;D

Just cut out all fruit, veg, wholemeal bread and cereals from your diet and the floater problem takes care of itself
