The 1960s Peter Cook and Dudley Moore sketch show was one of the many programmes where many of the episodes were lost due to the BBC's strangely appalling archival policies. Last month, however, audio recordings of 11 of the lost episodes were found at the home of NOBA fan Graham Webb, who had recorded them off the TV at the time of transmission, using a reel-to-reel tape recorder.

I didn't think they were very entertaining.  Now, Andy Pandy, The Woodentops and Bill & Ben, The Flowerpot Men were impressive.

Hector's Wood was a bit insipid for my tastes.  Now, Pogle's Wood... that was a different matter!  Cutting edge stuff with Pog deep in the woods.  Of course there were other classics such as Noggin the Nog too.  Derek and Clive just couldn't compete with Watch With Mother.

Mind, I'd only be about 4 or 5 years old at the time :) .

I don't think I ever recovered from the trauma of my first day at school.  It was horrible - I had been happy playing at home.

Mind, I think Watch With Mother started to lose its direction when Tales of the Riverbank made way for Mary, Mungo and Midge.

Can't remember his name, but I clearly remember the headmaster literally carrying me into school, kicking and screaming, on my first day.  It never got much better either.  :(

I hated school, and was mercilessly tormented because I was hopeless at sports, and was always the last one picked for the team. The only sport I was any good at was tennis, but it wasn't often an option.  I couldn't even bloody swim, and still can't!  ;D

Sounds like me, but I was no good at any sport - partly because, without glasses, I couldn't see a thing. When I left grammar school, they gave me a questionnaire about representing the old boys at sport. I suggested ballroom dancing and never heard from them again. ;D
