Remember, Clive; you can quickly boost the number of tracks on your iPod by using Radio Downloader (don't get distracted by the sheep logo on the website) to build an archive of radio programmes, especially classics such as those broadcast on Radio 4 Extra.

Thanks Gill, that could be extremely useful for my sacred Sounds of the Sixties on a Saturday morning.

So now that I'm treating my iPod really seriously, (I now have EIGHTsongs downloaded) I'm thinking of getting  some really serious speakers for it.  Well, one speaker actually.  What do you think of THIS one?   :D

I've really got the hang of it now and I have 148 songs on the Pod and lots more in the process of downloading.   I may even have to leave my computer on overnight.

I got a really good iPod docking station from Aldi for £15 which incorporates a MW/FM radio too.  Cheap doesn't necessarily mean poor quality.  Mind, I wouldn't trust the stuff that Lidl sells; I've been caught out by them too many times, witness my bicycle computer which can't detect when the wheels are turning and my camera mini-tripod which wobbles and tries to give your fingers a blood-wheel when you extend or retract the legs.
