Is the Sky-Map website as good as it appears to be or are there better places online for monitoring the night sky?

I like heavens-above.com - great for satellites and a quick look at the sky.

I use http://skymaps.com/  for public outreach purposes. Produces really nice to read sky charts. It also gives you a nice synopsis of the sky this month.

Of course there are also planetarium programmes, such as www.stellarium.org/
