McAfee security suite
« on: April 02, 2012, 18:36 »
evenin' all

I've just ordered myself a laptop from Dell, it comes preloaded with a 15 month subscription to the above. My first reaction is to uninstall it and stick microsoft security essentials and zone alarm on instead. Anyone have any recent experience of McAfee ?

I tried it once, but like Sam said, it was quite 'clunky'.

My Dell laptop and Acer netbook both came installed with McAfee but they were given their marching orders on first boot.  Bloatware at its worst!

Clive did you find that you needed to use the mcafee removal tool after uninstalling to remove any stubborn bits of it ?
