Topic: Windows XP support ends two years from now

Plenty bought it and plenty still run it: Gartner's July 2011 assessment of the global OS population suggested "Windows XP Home and Follow-Ons" had 68 million users, while XP Professional ran on 144 million machines.

Windows 7 is very easy to use Simon and has lots of advantages over XP.  Don't be afraid.

Both my desktops run XP and I have no intention of upgrading them.  Although this particular desktop has become particularly troublesome since it had a new HDD in December.  Not sure whether to jack it in and buy another laptop to replace it.

As I only apply Windows Updates once a year, during my two months summer break when I can do a format and reinstall if something goes wrong, I won't even notice when they stop supporting it.

I have xp pro on one for games and programs that wont run on linux
It wont support vista or 7 so it will stay an xp computer
