It's amazing how quickly a teaching career moved forward these days.  At the special needs school I used to do school runs for (I still do school runs, but for a different school now), their TAs (or, SSAs) seem to become fully fledged teachers within a few months!

Well, that would figure.  Our local authority is trying to cut costs wherever it can.  Many local head teachers are now split between two or three schools.

It's not great for the schools to only have 'part-time' heads, and it must be bloody hard work too!
