I've taken out a contract with Tesco (O2) and the sim will be posted to me.

The case and screen protector has also turned up.  Incredible value for £3.50.

Applying the screen protector without getting bubbles is a challenge!

The one I put on my Kindle Fire has started to peel off after 18 months.  My phone case also contained a stylus for typing but it's very small.  It's connected to a tiny plastic stub which presumably fits into a hole in the phone.

Not sure about that.  If there's a hole in the phone, that's probably the earphones socket.

That would make sense.  I must look at the instruction leaflet.   ;D  I was talking to a friend this afternoon who was telling me she doesn't bother paying for a data allowance because there are so many free hotspots available.   :dunno:

Depends where you are, I guess, and what the "free" hotspots want in return.

My sim turned up today and I'm good to go (apparently).  To be fair I seem to have set it all up and in so doing proved that the Kodi box was faulty since the setup was eerily similar.  I've downloaded a few free apps including a torch and added a few contacts.  I've even sent an e-mail and tried out the camera.  That's enough for today.   o:)

Even better, I've discovered that if I insert the sim card the correct way it will make a phone call!   ;D

  Everything seemed to work OK until I tried to test the phone!  I've downloaded a lot of apps although I suspect I might get rid of some of them.  I've been told that WhatsApp is very useful.  I'm considering buying a micro SD card to use with it.

WhatsApp is a messenger service.  I don't use it, because I was worried about privacy, plus I don't want pinging every second of every day, all day long.
