Microsoft OneDrive

Someone in my photography club has set up a Microsoft OneDrive account for a group of us to upload and share photographs. As I understand it, OnDrive has to be installed on your PC. My questions are:
how secure is OneDrive? and
how easy is it to use?

I think it comes pre-installed with Windows 10, but I've never used it.

I uninstalled mine a long time ago because a magazine article said it was heavy on resources, even when dormant.

Not one drive, but a friend installed google drive on to his PC, he said it took over like a virus (he wasn't very specific) but he couldn't get rid of it and it was always there on windows explorer goading him (his words).

We use it for the whole of our network of schools - very secure, very useful. You can setup so many privacy options.

I use it, both at work and privately at home. It doesn't need to be kept running all the time. You can start it manually from the start button as and when you want to use it, like you can with any program.

I have no problems with OneDrive at all. But I've just had problems with Kaspersky and had to uninstall it and go back to BT VirusProtect.

That's just typical of BT - protecting viruses.

After paying for a two year deal with Kaspersky and then to find it started blocking access to sites such as my Business banking site I tried everything I could think of and gave up and uninstalled it.
All works well again now and at least it's free with BT.

I've tried Kaspersky and on every occasion I've found it over zealous with blocking stuff.

The first time I used Kaspersky I had my costs refunded as it was to intrusive and complained. As the deal this time was so good and the reviews were excellent I thought I would give it another go. It worked all right at first then started to block all types of web sites and as I stated the Business Account Bank site was the last straw. BT use McAfee and it's included with their broadband so it's a win / win situation.
