There's also just Advanced Access Password Recovery, which may well do the job.

No unfortunately, it doesn't

It's the Office XP Pro version which is the DBs. It will recover the User and Workgroup info which Hook needs to gain full access to the file.

Thank you ALL for the help in trying to get this sorted, its not so much the passwords that are the problem as I have them  .. its for some reason going round in circles when booting up and coming up with Autoexec file corrupt.. now I know its the autoexec file in the dbase that is wrong.

I think I have found out why it was corrupted this morning, the Engineers PC fell down at the same time as the Dbase was corrupted and I was not informed as the Engineer was on the dreaded 10pm - 6 am shift and didnt leave any notes as to why the pc crashed with the dbase open.

I have cleared the pc problem this morning and the Dbase has opened up again ok..but I would like you to have a look at it and see if the Dbase was the problem in the 1st place.
