Hi Labopp, and

This might sound blindingly obvious, but have you checked the date on your system clock?  If you're not sure how to do this, right click the clock in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, select "Adjust Date / Time", and it's pretty self explanatory from there on.

If that's not the problem, come back to us, as we will probably need some more details to help you further.

 ;)

Have you installed or uninstalled anything just prior to this happening ?
Have you updated your AV and run a scan ?
Can you restore your OS back to when it was ok if you have installed something ?

Can you tell us the exact error message, word for word, Labopp, or better still, are you able to do a screenshot and post it on here as an attachment?   Hopefully one of the techies will be able to help you then.

I did a little search and there are alot of problems with this (ON XP AND 2000) and this is the fix that seems to be on most of them ?

Am not techie and have no idea if you have tried this or why it would change if it was okay before ? ............but here you are ........

 A. This is due to the Short Date Style in the Regional Settings of your computer being different to the default setting (normally set to dd/MM/yyyy hence the error).
OK so how do you change it?
- Go to the Control Panel and Double Click 'Regional Settings'
- Click on the Date Tab
- Now look under 'Short Date' you will see an option labelled 'Short Date Style'
- Select the date format 'dd/MM/yyyy'
- Apply and OK

Don't listen to Lona, she's old and set in her ways!    Hope Michelle's answer works for you, Labopp.  It's got to be something to do with the time and date settings.
