You would be best with a Broadband router and modem in one (unless BT are going to give you a modem with the package).  Then you just need to run the cables to your PC, the XBOX and the other PC.

Another option is to go wireless - so you don't need to run cables all over the place - but an added expense of buying PCI cards for the other PC would be incurred (not sure about Wireless and XBox).

Have a look at http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk (Not the cheapest site, but good for ideas).

Good Luck!

Using a router you can create a network to share your pcs and Xbox for the internet connections then just disable the file sharing part between pcs  :)

Not sure if I've got the wrong end of the Stick here, but the £29.99 that **Jon@h** refers to will be the monthly cost of BT brodband (I think).

 ??? ;)

Ah  ;D good point Tony.

I use Force9 (due to the amount of webspace) and get it for £21.99 with no restirctions / contract etc.

There are better deals than BT out there  ;)

Yes Force 9 /Plusnet do come with good webspace 250MB methinks, of the top of my head. And like you say £21.99 [non restricted] is better than paying £29.99 for BT's offering.

And if your prepared to take a resticted service [in that you have a monthly download limit] but still have 512KB always on broadband, you can get it for £14.99 from Plusnet.
