Lost Floppy

Lost me floppy (A)drive..I'm sure it was there last week  ;D

looked in Bios its enabled, looked in Device manager it sees a legacy floppy controller, looked in Everest  doesnt see it anywhere....weird goins on huh.

Any advice would be appreciated, although its brand new do you think I should get another just in case  ;D

Does it make the usual noise and flash its light when you boot up Hookie  ???

I assume that you have checked the cables are connected the right way round, although usually with floppy drives if the ribbon cable is in wrong the light stays on continually  ???

That happened to me when I 1st built the pc 2 weeks back  :P learnt my lesson there Sandra  :-[

All sorted.

It was in the Bios, but not the normal setting of enable floppy?? it was enable "A" + "B" that was the problem  >:( WTF how did that happen  :-\ dont ask me I know nothing.
