A £1m clock called the "time eater" has been unveiled at Cambridge University by Professor Stephen Hawking.

I was in Cambridge this weekend and it was all over the local news, I didn't have chance to go and see it but a friend of mine did... he said it wasn't worth the visit really... especially since its at ground level behind a perspex screen meaning its very hard to get a good look at it

Its only gold plated MB, so it wasnt that extravagant.
The UK government is highly skilled in wasting money unnecesarily though, as long as they can tax us enough to fund things  >:(

Of course there are, but that would mean the UK government using common sense, something that is in very short supply these days  ::)

Just wait and see how they mess up the 2012 Olympics and how much money they can waste on that  :o

This for me is a big waste of time.........and money what is it about ? :dunno: its as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike and the only thing is that it will be a tourist attraction,something not needed here....I think this is time for Gran to comment  ;)
